Loome is a telehealth weight management platform that connects patients with HPCSA-registered clinicians for medically supervised weight loss programmes. We do not provide emergency medical services. In a medical emergency, please call 112 (cell phone) or 10177 (ambulance), or attend the emergency department of your nearest hospital.
To use the Loome platform, you must:
BMI information provided during registration is self-reported. Final clinical eligibility, including BMI verification, is confirmed by your assigned Loome clinician at the time of your consultation. A clinician may decline to proceed with treatment if your self-reported BMI cannot be verified or does not meet the clinical threshold upon assessment.
Loome reserves the right to decline or discontinue services to any individual who does not meet these criteria or for whom participation would not be clinically appropriate.
Access to the Loome programme is provided on a subscription basis. Subscription fees are charged in South African Rand (ZAR) and are billed according to the plan selected at sign-up. All payments are processed securely through PayFast. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis in accordance with your chosen plan.
Prices are displayed on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time. You will be notified of any price changes before they take effect.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Please refer to our Refund and Cancellation Policy for full details on how cancellations are processed and the circumstances under which refunds may be issued.
Clinical consultations on the Loome platform are conducted by HPCSA-registered doctors and dietitians. Loome clinicians exercise independent professional judgement; Liveloome (Pty) Ltd does not direct clinical decisions.
The information provided on our platform is for general informational and clinical support purposes only and does not constitute a diagnosis. You are responsible for disclosing accurate and complete health information to your clinician.
Where medication is clinically indicated and prescribed by a Loome doctor, it will be dispensed by a licensed pharmacy and delivered to you. Medication is only prescribed following a clinical consultation. The prescription of medication is at the sole discretion of the treating clinician.
